Wine Review: I recently went to a plonk party. This wine was by far the best white wine served. This wine opens with a mild bouquet. On the palate, the wine is creamy and slightly acidic. The finish was pleasant. This is a very nice food wine. It will marry well with many foods. It can serve as your everyday white wine as well. Enjoy this good value - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Maison Louis Latour rigorously selects grapes from the well-exposed commune of Lugny which was the only village planted with Chardonnay 30 years ago due to a perfect terroir. Lugny is one of the top vineyards in southern Burgundy’s Mâconnais region, Mâcon-Lugny Les Genièvres is simply an outstanding wine. Opulent, rich, with a flowery bouquet and lovely honey, apple and nutty flavors on the palate. Tony Blair the British Prime celebrated his election victory with a glass of our Mâcon-Lugny. The wine is made in 100% stainless steel with 100% malolactic fermentation.
