Wine Review: This bright yellow Chardonnay is another winner from the Dutton Ranch. This offering named "The Calling" opens with a fragrant banana and light lemon bouquet with just a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, creamy and has a nice mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a mild oak influenced light lemon with hints of mango, tangerine, and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely after the wine is gone. This Chard would pair very well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A classic Chardonnay, this 2010 vintage was blended from select Dutton Ranch vineyards in the prestigious Russian River Valley appellation. Barrel fermentation and sur lie aging have created a rich and smooth wine with subtle hints of oak and crisp flavors of Meyer lemon, honeydew melon and juicy white nectarine. Food-friendly, it’s bright and refreshing with an elegantly full-bodied finish.
