Wine Review: This deep coral colored Rose has a bit of an orange rim. This wine is from Croatia. It opens with a mild watermelon and red cherry bouquet with hints of strawberry, tarragon, and talc. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. It is round and has a soft mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a stony mineral influenced white cherry with notes of watermelon, tangerine, and guava. There is a little hint of white pepper, lemon zest, and other spices in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and refreshing. We would enjoy this Rose with chilled shrimp cocktail or a three cheese, crab and artichoke dip. Enjoy – Ken and Mark

Winemaker Notes: Rose 2019 is a fresh and light wine, with a pleasant fruity aroma and fluttering style. The aroma is dominated by berries (raspberries, currants) with few herbal tones. Plavac Mali delights the palate gently, and the flutter and light drinkability come from Syrah. This Rose can be drunk as an aperitif or with lighter appetizers, such as risotto with asparagus.
