Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Spanish Grenache based blend is very old school. It opens with a mild oak influenced black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar infused black cherry with notes of flinty minerality. I also detected some hints of blackberry and anise. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. This Spanish blend is a true Old World styled wine. It is food friendly. I would serve it with an Argentinian Gaucho-styled steak with a chimichurri sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine has a bright, ruby red hue. Intense aromas of wild strawberries, blackberries, mix with nuances of violets, spices and toasted notes. Mineral notes accompany the fruit on the palate. The wine has body, but mature tannins provide a supple texture.
