Wine Review: This medium purple colored wine opens with an inviting new leather, lilac and mentholated cherry bouquet with hints of strawberry and Chinese five spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and soft. The flavor profile is a black cherry and oolong tea blend with notes of teaberry gum, cedar plank and cocoa powder. We also detected some hints of earthy loam and red plum mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins show nice length. The Panel would pair this game, lamb, or with a black and blue burger. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: On the eye, a garnet red wine with intense ruby tints. The nose is powerful, peonies mingle with slightly roasted notes. The palate is round and delicious, with vanilla and spices in the foreground followed by the powerful entrance of blackberries and blueberries. It should get even more balanced over time.
