Wine Review: This well-made Chardonnay from Rodney Strong is a medium straw colored. I found Honey Crisp apple, pineapple, wet slate, butterscotch and a hint of nutmeg in the bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium-plus acidity. I also found it to be smooth, well-balanced and to display nice structure. There are flavors of Granny Smith apple, pineapple, crushed stone, vanilla and gentle oak. It has a nice extended finish with some pleasant mineral notes that show up. This Chard would pair nicely with pan-seared scallops. Enjoy – Mark

Winemaker Notes: The 2016 "Reserve" Chardonnay has wonderful aromas of baked apple, pineapple and baking spices. On the palate the creamy lemon meringue nutmeg notes are well-balanced by crisp acidity and a rich mouthfeel. Enjoy this Chardonnay now with cheese raviolis with cream sauce, herb crusted halibut or with roasted chicken.
