Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petite Sirah from Robert Foley "goes to 11!" It opens with a heavenly acai berry and blueberry bouquet with a hint of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, extremely well-balanced and is smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe blackberry and oak blend with nicely integrated fine minerality and black olive. The finish is very dry and its monster tannins are well-managed and remain in your mouth for minutes after the wine gone. Not for the meek! I would decant this gem for about an hour and serve it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark ripe fruit, blackberry and a trace of briar characterize the aroma. This big, yet balanced bottling coats the palate with gently gripping chewy tannin, resolving in a soft pleasant finish. Our Petite Sirah mountain and valley-floor vineyards produce remarkably different characters that are celebrated and combined into this powerhouse offering.
