Wine Review: This pitch black colored red blend is a nice everyday option. It opens with a blackberry, oak and anise like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very juicy. The flavor profile is a concentrated ripe boysenberry with hints of plum and blackberry. I also detected some oak in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This wine would pair well with a juicy bacon cheeseburger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Red Rock 2011 Winemaker's Blend combines the structure of Petite Sirah, the bright red fruit characteristics of Zinfandel and the spicy notes of Syrah for a wine that is soft but concentrated. Dark plum, boysenberry, and blueberry aromas and flavors are well-complemented by intriguing toffee notes.
