Wine Review: This almost clear Riesling from Red Newt opens with a petrol bouquet with hints of dried apricot, light florals and a bee's wax candle. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, mildly sweet, smooth and soft. Yet there is enough acidity to liven up the palate. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced ripe Anjou pear with notes of lemon, honey and apricot with a hint of ruby grapefruit. The finish remains sweet and shows nice length for a Riesling. The Panel enjoyed this Riesling and would pair it with wiener schnitzel or melon wrapped in prosciutto. Enjoy - KWGTP
