Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a smoky oak and coffee bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is an oak influenced mild red raspberry and black cherry blend with notes of vanilla and bay leaf. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. The Panel described this Merlot as friendly. They would pair it with a charcuterie platter along with Great Hill blue cheese and fig spread on a sliced baguette. A grilled veal chop was also suggested. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Aromatics of ripe plums and cassis with hints of cedar lead to a bright flavorful energetic finish in this lovely well-balanced cool climate Merlot.
