Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Petite Sirah opens with a black cherry-cola and milk chocolate bouquet with hints of new oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, velvety and savory. The flavor profile is an oak and spiced black plum blend with notes of minerality. We also detected hints of blackberry and chocolate. The finish is dry and its bold tannins build-up and last for a while. The Panel suggested decanting this wine before pairing it with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of boysenberry liquor and mocha. At first sip, there is a taste and feeling of mouth coating, melted dark chocolate. Flavors of spicy, warm molasses come out on the finish.
