Wine Review: This lovely Chardonnay from Lava Cap is a medium golden yellow color in the glass. It opens with a green apple and Anjou pear bouquet with hints of paraffin, flint and delicate white florals. On the palate, it is full bodied, rich and well-balanced, with medium-plus acidity and a velvety mouthfeel. I detected flavors of Honeycrisp apple, buttery pastry, vanilla, lemon curd, stony minerality and mild oak. The finish is long with a nice hint of spice. It would pair well with pappardelle with creamy lobster and sweet corn sauce. - Mark
