Wine Review: A bit lighter in color than what I remembered, closer to light straw than sun-kissed straw like past years. Regardless of the color, Gloria Ferrer didn't miss the mark. The nose is floral with hints of cooking spices. The medium sized bubbles take over the palate at first but once they subside the flavors of caramelized apples and white peaches, cinnamon, and hints of lemon marmalade give through. The acidity and medium finish anchor the experience making you want to go back for seconds. Pairs well with grilled Bluefish. - Nicolay

Winemaker Notes: Delicate pear and floral notes backed by toasty almond. On the palate, one finds lively citrus, toast and apple flavors overlaid with persistent effervescence, a creamy mid-palate and toasty finish. A tremendously versatile wine that is equally delicious with shellfish, crab, roasted chicken or sushi.
