Wine Review: This translucent light straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc is a nice offering at its price point. The bouquet opens with aromas of lemons and clementine’s. It also included hints of herbs. I thought this Sauvignon Blanc was refreshing and served slightly chilled would make a great patio wine on a hot summer week night. On the palate, not only was the wine refreshing but also zesty and included a flavor profile of lemon, pink grapefruit, light pineapple and again hints of herbs. I enjoyed the lively acidity, simplicity and fresh tart finish. If not drinking alone on the patio, I would pair this South African Sauvignon Blanc with mussels steamed in garlic, lemon and wine broth. - Joe
