Wine Review: This midnight blue colored Chateauneuf du Pape opens with a black currant and black licorice like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth and dynamic. The flavor profile is blueberry with notes of black pepper. I also detected notes of black licorice, black cherry and spice as well. The finish is dry and its tannins build up and linger. Mark and I suggest decanting this wine and serving it with coq au vin. Enjoy - Ken
