Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Aussie red blend opens with a cranberry, red currant and new leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a unique fruit blend of red plum, red currant, fig and red cherry. I also detected a hint of cedar plank and a dash of black pepper nicely integrated into the background. The finish is dry and its well managed mild tannins drift away nicely. This wine would pair well with a roasted pork loin with Calvados cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Colour: Dense brick red with purple tinges Bouquet: The lively fresh plum, rose and violet aromas are backed by a touch of vanillin oak. Palate: The very attractive blend of rich plum, cherry, spice and black pepper flavours have produced a marvellously opulent middle palate that is backed by lovely soft tannins. A delicious and pure fruit - driven wine. Cellaring: 10 to 15 Years.
