Wine Review: This very dark violet colored Grenache from Paso Robles opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of spice and red plum. The palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry with notes of red plum and mild oak. I also detected faint hints of raisin, boysenberry and black licorice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. I would pair this very nice Grenache with braised short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dominated by strawberry rhubarb on the nose, and complemented by notes of cherry, vanilla and leather. Unmistakably Grenache with strawberry and other red fruit up front balanced with bright acidity. Texture driven mid palate with round lush tannins yields to a lengthy finish.
