Wine Review: This red blend from California is very Bordeaux like in style. It is pitch black colored and opens with a fragrant black currant and blackberry bouquet with a hint of cedar and leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious black currant with nicely integrate cedar plank. I also detected hints of minerality, clack cherry and anise. The finish is enjoyable, dry and its flavors linger for a little while after its gone. The panel suggested that with food friendly wine would pair well with shepherd’s pie. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Beginning with a brilliant dark ruby color and garnet edges, the 2009 Cenyth shows a nose of black cherry, red currant, mocha, slight peppermint, cigar box, and vanilla notes. It is round and full bodied, with silky tannins and a velvety palate of vibrant red fruits. With a well-balanced acidity, the finish is long and fresh.
