Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah from Amavi opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with a hint of new rubber and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and has a very nice mouthfeel. The flavor profile is an oak influenced black cherry with notes of minerality and plum with a hint of rhubarb. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins show very nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this Syrah with slow-cooked short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
