Wine Review: Limari Valley is not the most well know wine region in Chile, but Marcelo Papa has done a fine job with this Chard from this little known region. This yellow colored wine opens with a very inviting melon like bouquet with hints of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, crisp, and dry. There is a green apple and light pineapple flavor profile. The finish is dry and subtle. We felt this wine would be a nice glass pour option. It would also pair well with halibut stuffed with crabmeat. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant light yellow in color, Maycas Reserva Especial Chardonnay off ers great citrus aromas mixed with notes of toasted almond and hazelnut leading to a distinct minerality. Full-bodied, this wine off ers great freshness and density. Citrus flavors echo on the palate and end with a crisp and persistent finish.
