Wine Review: This bright cranberry colored wine opens with a mulberry like bouquet with notes of black cherries and pipe tobacco as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced, with noted acidity and exuberant fruit flavors. Those flavors consist of raspberry and dried cranberry with some vanilla on the tail end. The finish is quite dry and its well managed tannins show excellent length. The mini group I had taste this wine thought this wine was best with food and would pair best with tomato based meals like bruschetta or chicken parmigianna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense, dark reddish-purple. A bouquet of black cherry fills the nose, while delicate vanilla and spice from the oak and layers of complexity to discover and enjoy. After a taste, the palate is immediately coated in a smooth and velvety texture, followed by a bold structure that is the backbone of this distinct blend. The finish is filled with anise and leather flavors, which seem to linger on the palate indefinitely, making this wine enjoyable even after the last sip is taken. Decant and drink now or put it in your cellar for enjoyment in years to come.
