Wine Review: This Garnet colored wine from Faust opens with a spicy black current and smoky cedar like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is soft and smooth with Pinot like qualities. It displays slightly tart and dried black cherry flavors with notes of spice. The finish is quite dry and its noticeable tannins are nicely extended. The panel felt this wine would integrate and develop with a few more years in the cellar. If you serve it soon consider a hearty meal like venison or wild mushroom ravioli. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: "The 2005 Faust delivers a Cabernet with precision and style-all of the aromatics, complexity and finesse that are the best of this vintage without giving up any power. A core of sweet, juicy black fruit, classic black cherry and blackberry flavors picks up on the palate where the aromas leave off." - Charles Thomas & Aaron Pott, Winemakers
