Wine Review: Last year we thought this wine might be one of Peter Merriam’s best wines yet. It certainly had the potential to be. So at this year's Boston Wine Expo, we retried it. It opens with an attractive cherry vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is very very smooth, well balanced, and elegant with very tasty cherry vanilla flavors. The dryness present last year has dissipated. The tannins still dry, well managed, and very nicely prolonged. As I predicted, this wine had turned into a winner. We agreed this wine would pair perfectly with a steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our wines are known for their deep, dark, garnet color. Black raspberries, dried currant, ripe cherries and tobacco notes with a cherry drop in the middle. Finish is medium dry with light tannins. Long finish of mint, plum, eucalyptus and cedar cigar.
