Wine Review: Macabeo is typically a white blending grape usually used in Cava. However, we found this white gold colored still wine with tiny bubbles to be very nice option to consider for those hot summer days ahead. This wine opens with a pineapple and wet stone like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is balanced, slightly creamy, and has nicely integrated acidity. It displays a complex flavor profile of pear, slightly tart green apple, and minerality. The finish is quite dry, refreshing, and lingers for quite some time. This food friendly wine would appeal to fans of wines from Sancerre. This wine would pair nicely with linguine with a white clam sauce or ham with pineapple. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Clean, impeccably well-made fresh white with soft acidity and a generous floral bouquet.
