Wine Review: This dark ruby red wine opens with a slightly musty red cherry like bouquet with hints of spice. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is round, juicy, and has a noticeably dry mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a spicy raspberry flavor. It is currently a battle between the fruit and the tannin in your mouth. It’s quite lively and very interesting. The finish of this very young wine is quite dry with long lasting tannins. It would be interesting to try this wine after decanting it for a couple of hours as it was softening within the short period of time it was in the glass. This wine was a perfect match for my cheeseburger at Eastern Standard in Boston before the Red Sox game. Enjoy – Ken
