Wine Review: This pale yellow wine from Dr. Loosen was the winner of our first Riesling blind tasting. The wine opens with a cold lemon iced tea like bouquet with notes of apricot as well. On the palate this full bodied wine is quite viscous, creamy, nicely balanced, with delicious sweet lemon iced tea like flavors. The finish is very appealing and refreshing. This wine would be a perfect finishing wine to be served with a cheese platter and sliced green apples or raspberry mousse. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Limited production single-vineyard wine from a celebrated estate and one of Germany’s most famous vineyards. A wonderful wine for richer foods, it’s low alcohol make it especially good with spicy Asian/fusion cuisine. Clean, crisp, distinctive Riesling Spätlese from one of Germany’s most celebrated winemakers, Ernst Loosen.
