Wine Review: This Zin finished 3rd in our recent blind tasting. This deep burgundy colored wine opens with a black cherry and blackberry like bouquet with hints of smoke. On the palate, this full bodied wine is very smooth, intense, in balance, and packed with spicy and sweet blackberry flavors with a hint of vanilla. The finish is dry, and stays with you for a while. We would pair this refined Zin with a fine pan seared steak soon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The rich, bright color of the wine speaks to its freshness and lively acidity. Herbal notes of garrigue, tobacco, sage, and a bounty of Bing cherries, blueberries and spice. Sweet dark cherry and a rich, lush texture complement the structure and grip. It’s always a surprise when you taste wines made from 120+ years old vines.
