Wine Review: This ruby Red opens with a spicy boysenberry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is very smooth, quite juicy, and is loaded with boysenberry jam like flavors with just a touch of mocha. I found this wine to be very likable. The finish is dry and nicely extended. It did have a hint of heat. This intensely flavored wine would go well with barbeque slathered ribs. I certainly could enjoy it on its own as well. Winemaker Notes: Opaque garnet in the glass. There's a subtlety about this wine...blackberry, black cherry, red/purple fruits and spice. On the palate, we find cherry, raspberry, white pepper, chocolate, and blood. The mouth-feel is clean and rich with firm acidity. The powerful finish lingers with persistence.
