Wine Review: This wine is an affordable Pinot Noir that is quite tasty. This red wine opens with a fragrant and appealing strawberry rhubarb pie like bouquet. On the palate, the wine is round, easy to drink, simple, and has pleasant spicy plum like flavors. The finish is dry and subtle. This is a vice nice bargain Pinot that would pair nicely with Lasagna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is pure Pinot Noir with signature ripe black cola and a hint of spiciness on the nose. Core flavors of cherry and plum along with silky notes of wild berries and vanilla fill the mouth while the soft, velvety tannins and balanced acidity keeps the wine suspended into the finish. This is a substantial wine that can stand up to a number of rich foods. Try pairing it with plum-glazed game birds or salmon steaks with garlic mashed potatoes. It would also pair well with duck confit on a bed of roasted garlic and steamed spinach greens.
