Wine Review: This wine was another special find at this years Newport Wine Festival. This wine opens with a pleasant spicy black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth, well balanced, has nicely integrated acidity, and pretty concentrated blackberry like flavors with hints of plum. The finish is very very dry, a little tannic, and lingers for a while. This wine would pair very nicely with Veal parmigiana. Enjoy, I did. - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Each grape variety adds its own personality: Syrah adds flavors of blackberry and ripe tannins; Mourvèdre brings notes of blueberry and full mouth-feel; and Grenache adds lush raspberry liqueur flavors. These rich layers of flavor create a wine greater than the sum of its parts and enable it to be enjoyed now or cellar for five to seven years. – Clay Brock, Winemaker
