Wine Review: When Vega Sicilia is in charge of your estate you are bound to make some great wine. Bodegas Alion was started in 1992 by Vega Sicilia to show the world the potential and beauty of wines from Ribera del Duero and the modern methods through which they are made. The Alion 2002 is extremely complex, starting out massive on the palate with big fruit and rich, ripe tannin, then completely balances out on the finish leaving you craving another sip. This is a truly great wine with a long future ahead, and there’s plenty to go around! Enjoy - Alex
