Wine Review: We decided to do a cellar pull over the Thanksgiving weekend and this wine from La Valentina was our choice for after dinner. This very purple wine opens with very forward and strong anise like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is refined, smooth, well balanced, has menthol and black currant like favors with a touch of sweet oak. The finish is dry and extends nicely for a little while. This wine is showing well right now and would pair perfectly with a New York State strip steak with a side of beets and garlic mash potatoes. Enjoy - Ken
