Wine Review: This pale gold colored Chardonnay from Wente is a good value wine. It opens with a floral nose that also includes tropical fruits like pineapple and banana and some notes of rich oak. On the palate, we found it to be full bodied. Its flavor profile is a buttery tropical fruit blend with nicely integrated oak and a hint of vanilla. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. This Chard is an easy going quaffer. We would serve it with either chicken cordon bleu or sauteed scallops with linguine and cream sauce. - Karen and Stuart
Winemaker Notes: Crisp, lean flavors of melon, grapefruit, green apple and pear are balanced by subtle hints of oak and vanilla from barrel aging. With mouth-filling body, lingering minerality, and balanced acidity, this wine delivers a long, refreshing finish.
