Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Grenache opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with notes of vanilla oak and black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, soft and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red currant with notes of old oak and plum. I also detected hints of dark chocolate and black pepper. There is a lot going on for this very fairly priced wine. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins are gentle and pleasant. This wine would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
