Wine Review: This white gold colored Pinot Gris from Germany opens with a green apple and Anjou pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a ripe green apple with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of lemon-lime and a touch of white peach. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This affordable Pinot Gris is food friendly and would pair nicely with garlic chicken. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Excellent value for a classically produced Pfalz wine from Ernst Loosen. Bottled with the Stelvin screw-cap closure for freshness and convenience. Medium bodied, dry style is very food friendly. The Pfalz region is where Pinot Gris was first produced as a varietal wine.
