Wine Review: This white gold colored blend of Chardonnay Gewurztraminer and Roussanne from Chateau Potelle is very good. This unique wine was well liked by all that tried it. It opens with a mild pear and candied ginger bouquet. On the palate, this wine is nicely balanced, full bodied and lush. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe Barlett pear with notes of pineapple and hints of golden delicious apple and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. Our mini-tasting group suggested pairing this wine with grilled garlic shrimp.

Winemaker Notes: A unique and intoxicating blend of Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer and Viogner. The Chardonnay, with its texture, richness and mouthfeel, brings the foundation on which this wine is built. Gewurztraminer brings the exuberance of its captivating aromas of lychees, rose petal and spices. The Viogner provides beautiful floral aromas of violets with the finesse and richness of peaches and apricots. The wine is elegant, complex and stays very long in your palate. A perfect pairing for any Thai or lightly spicy food.
