Wine Review: At first glance I was skeptical about this dark red colored red blend from the North Coast of California. That said, it turns out that it is pretty good. It opens with mild red cherry and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant and plum blend with notes of old oak. I also detected a hint of cranberry and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. This red blend is pretty good for what appears to be a gimmicky wine. I would pair this very good red blend with a burger off the grill. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine has an intense ruby color with luscious aromas of black currant, dark cherry, boysenberry, raspberry and blueberry along with cedar, caramel, clove, cinnamon and a hint of roasted coffee. Delicately composed layers of pure berry flavors open up on the palate while the supple acidity melts into a silly mouthfeel and elegant spice notes add depth and complexity. Tie-Dye 2014 "North Coast" Red Blend makes a bold and sophisticated statement.
