Wine Review: This dark red colored blend opens with a mild red plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty plum with notes of mild minerality and gentle cherry-cola. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and it would pair perfectly with Stuart's steak treats. Enjoy

Winemaker Notes: The nose is winey and serious, with aromas of blackberry, mint chocolate, aged balsamic, Worcestershire and red licorice. The palate is long and complex, with flavors of black raspberry, plum compote and leather, and Mourvedre's signature flavors of cassis, black tea and roasted meat. The wine's tannins come out on the long finish. We recommend that you hold the 2012 Esprit for a few months, then drink either between 2015 and 2017 or 2020-2040.
