Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Syrah from South Africa opens with a fragrant blackberry jam bouquet with hints of plum, oak and lilac. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a stony mineral infused black cherry and old oak blend. We also detected hints of black tea. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins drift away nicely. The panel suggested pairing this South African Syrah with Kobe sliders or pork carnitas. Enjoy - KWGTP
