Wine Review: This Chard will appeal to readers who prefer a fruit forward style with no oak. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc fans will also really like it. It is pale yellow colored and opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, crisp and lively. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe grapefruit with hints of white pepper and spice. The finish is dry and rather refreshing. It would pair quite well with broiled scallops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2009 Oak Free Chardonnay is sharply focused with a beam of green apple, cantaloupe and a seductive aroma of fresh yeast. Vibrant and mouthwatering, the flavors of pear and melon fill the palate. It has a refreshly clean finish that highlights the mineral and fruit qualities.
