Wine Review: The Spellbound Chardonnay is a great example of nurture and nature. 2013 was a more classic California vintage that saw plenty of sunlight and little rain. Alongside the vintage is the winemaking team at Spellbound that knew exactly when to pick and how to mature this wine so that it would show the restraint and balance that it does. Although it has all of the mango and pineapples we have come to enjoy in our Chards, it also displays this bright and vibrant acidity that helps with taming this wine. The finish is long enough. Enjoy - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Spellbound Chardonnay features bright and lush tropical fruit flavors such as pineapple, banana, guava, and kiwi. These bright flavors are balanced with notes of vanilla and classic creme brulee. Enjoy this wine on its own or with a variety of cuisine from the Pacific Rim to the fiery Southwest.
