Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Shafer is terrific. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a very tasty lemon verbena and pear blend with notes of vanilla oak. I also detected hints of butterscotch mixed in as well. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. I would pair this with baked halibut stuffed with crab meat. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2015 vintage endowed this Chardonnay with a profusion of exotic, fresh aromas and flavors – honeydew melon, pineapple, plantains, honey, creme brulee, and mandarin peel – all made more enticing with bright acidity and a long, rich finish.
