Wine Review: This Excellent dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mondavi rocked the panel and finished in second place in our big blind tasting. It opens with a classic black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a terrific black cherry and black currant blend with wonderfully integrated mild minerality, dark chocolate, and oak. The finish is dry and its refined tannins sail away and are very lengthy. The panel suggested pairing this terrific wine with Emeril's Steak Diane. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A powerful wine, our 2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has rich, spicy blackberry and blueberry fruit, cinnamon, sage, coriander and tobacco flavors. While muscular, the wine is elegantly structured with fresh acidity, fine tannins and a richly dense mouthfeel.
