Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from the Finger Lakes is a steal at $13. It seems like every year this wine is very good. Once again it won over our tasting group. It did not last long. The 2014 opens with a pleasant mild ripe pear bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is slightly sweet and nicely balanced between it fruit and acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe Anjou pear with hints of pineapple and touch of minerality. The finish is semi-dry and refreshing. We suggest that you enjoy it with shrimp pad Thai. Enjoy - Ken
