Wine Review: This light yellow colored Gewurtz opens with a mild peach bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused lime with a gentle touch of tangerine and lychee. The finish is medium dry and refreshing. This wine would pair well with sharp cheddar cheese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Red Newt Cellars Gewürztraminer was harvested from two separate vineyards in Hector, NY. It is rich and broad with a warm and lingering finish. Orange blossom and honeysuckle combined with flavors of ripe watermelon and lychee balance a palate that is rich, creamy and elegant. The combination of spiciness, fruit, and powerful structure make this wine an exciting complement to boldly flavored and spicy cuisine. This wine is best with at least 6 months in the bottle and will age gracefully for several years.
