Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a pleasant mild oak and pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild lemon and apple blend with nicely integrated gentle oak in the background. I also detected a hint of pear and nutmeg. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely after the wine is gone. I would pair this very nice Chard with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Platt Vineyard Chardonnay ripens two weeks later than our Russian River Chardonnays, with a lower pH. We harvested it on October 19th. The crisp acidity and minerality from this cool site are quite apparent in the wine.
