Wine Review: I like Gavi and really like this one. The 2010 vintage is almost clear colored and opens with a mild lemon and Anjou pear bouquet with notes of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly crispy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Bosc pear with notes of lime. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine is very food friendly and versatile. I could envision it with pan fried Maryland crab cakes or seafood casserole. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Considered the premier dry white wine of Italy, Principessa Gavia compares favorably with the world's noble wines. Superlative with a distinct personality, Principessa is fruity, fresh and crisp with a gentle acidity and balanced finish. An ideal accompaniment with all shellfish, it also marries well with fish, veal and grilled chicken, as well as with the delicate flavor variations of Japanese cuisine.
