Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville is impressive! It opens with an appealing black currant bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black plum and gentle minerality blend with notes of nicely integrated oak and black cherry. I also detected hints of black currant mixed in. The finish on this wine takes it to another level. It is dry and its impressive managed tannins build up and stick around for a very long time. You will need to decant this wine in the near term and serve it with a well-marbled ribeye. Lovers of Big Cabs will really enjoy this wine. Your patience will be rewarded as well, as I see nice longevity for this gem. Enjoy - Ken
