Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Pina opens with an appealing mild black currant bouquet with a hint of vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe plum and strawberry blend with notes of black raspberry. I also detected hint of minerality and some oak behind the fruit. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This Cab would pair well with seared baby lamb chops served with a fig-balsamic pan sauce. Enjoy - Ken
