Wine Review: This pale straw colored Pinot Gris from Navarro opens with faint ginger and gentle peach bouquet with a floral hint as well. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused ginger ale with hints Anjou pear and touch of lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This Pinot Gris is very versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with pan fried rainbow trout drizzled with lemon butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This bottling is a blend of the two ridges aged sur lie in oak ovals. This time the bottles are all standard 750 ml and the luscious texture and mango-melon aromas promise to charm you, just as the wine charmed us twenty-two years ago.
